The Grafton Cycle Club’s 2010 Jacaranda Criterium will be an afternoon of cycle racing in Grafton’s main street. The date is Saturday, November 6th and is run as part of the finale of the Famous Jacaranda Festival.
This year we expect to again hold a junior event for novices. Other juniors will race in their appropriate grades. With a large prize pool we are able to fund a relatively large number of primes in each race with $50 split up amongst the three place getters in each prime. We prefer entries well ahead to make the organiser’s job easier but, as in the past, we will accept line entries. To download an entry form, please follow this link: jacaentry2010
The ’Jaca’ is run on a Hot Dog course in Prince Street, Grafton's main street, with plenty of spectator support. It makes for an entertaining afternoon at the end of Jacaranda Week.
Please Note: In the event of persistent heavy rain The Main Street Crit will be cancelled for safety reasons. An alternate handicap race will be run on a circuit close to Grafton- 2 pm start all prize money will be paid out . Check the sign-on desk near Harvey Norman from noon.
This event is also the first round of McDonalds Northern Rivers Criterium series.
