January News

Happy New Year! 2018 was a great year for Grafton Cycle Club. With great successes on and off road, both locally and away. There was lots of racing, social events and the extremely successful Festival of the Bike.

2019 is already shaping up to be a big year for our club with a new committee full of fresh ideas already working on new events and reinvigorating some old ones. Some key events to keep an eye out for at the brand new Graft-TON Grind 100km - MTBA National Cup Tier 1 XCM Race, an all new Maurie Kautto Memorial Teams Time Trial, the 2019 G-Bom, and maybe even the resurrection of the Jacaranda Criterium.

The ever popular MTB Chook races will be continuing at Bom Bom in January (check the BBR Facebook for details) and the Wednesday Afternoon Criterium Training will be recommencing at the Crit Track in late January. Road Racing resumes at Trenayr on the 19th of January with a 10 week series once again. There will also be a Free "Come and Try" MTB Race and Skills Day on the 17th of February held at Bom Bom. All the finer details of all these events will be circulated later this month.

Throughout the year, you'll be receiving these newsletter updates to keep you informed of what's coming up. The GCC and Bom Bom Racing social media pages (both Facebook and Instagram) are also great ways to keep informed of things that are happening in our club. Make sure you "Like" or "Follow" those pages. Our club website is being populated with more content and now has a calendar with events/races being added as they are confirmed. If you're interested in volunteering to help organise MTB or Road Races, or have any suggestions of what you'd like to see the club doing, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Keep an eye out for these posts as they come in, and we hope to see you all on the bike soon!

Regards,

Grafton Cycle Club
